Whilst working on my return machine it randomly turned green for no reason, to fix it I just assigned a new material.
I don't know why it happened or what caused it but with it there is was quite hard to work on it, and to fix it i just assigned the material to Blinn which got rid of the problem
The green indicates that there is no material assigned to the those particular faces. Well done on finding out the solution by assigning them a material.
